Defensive driving courses

Defensive driving is a more advanced form of training that motor vehicle
drivers can take, over and above the mastery of the rules of the road, and the basic mechanics of driving. Its aim is to reduce the risk of driving by
proactively avoiding dangerous situations, despite adverse conditions and/or the incorrect actions of others. This can be achieved through adherence to a variety of general purpose rules, as well as the practice of specific driving techniques.

Back injury course

Back injuries incurred on the job remains a significant concern for the
workforce. Back injuries represent from an average of one-third, and up to 70% of all injuries in some workplaces.
This course covers the process of risk identification, risk assessment and
risk control for reducing and preventing back injuries. Participants will gain
an understanding of the multi-factorial nature of back injuries and the
difference between an acute injury and chronic exposure to risk factors.
Participants will also discuss the process of developing risk control solutions, practice determining solutions using case studies and practice conducting a task description of a job, identifying risk factors and using a variety of risk assessment techniques to determine which tasks require modification
